Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day, marks the day when federal troops arrived in Galveston, Texas in 1865 to ensure that all enslaved people be freed! The troop's arrival came a full two and a half years after the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation. Juneteenth honors and celebrates the end of slavery in the United States. On June 17th, 2021 Juneteenth officially became a federal holiday. As a Texas-based company built on celebrating love and equality, we recognize and celebrate the significance of this historic day!One way of celebrating and supporting is to support Black-owned businesses!
