I also love when wedding days give me the best of both worlds—that dreamy, light and airy elegance in the afternoon, then transitioning into a warm, cozy, candlelit glow for the evening. ✨ This floral arch was already stunning, but when the candlelight started flickering and the room filled with that intimate, golden ambiance? Pure magic.

Quinton and I are so happy and thankful we were able to share our wedding with our closest friends and family (if you weren’t able to make it, it’s ok we still love you).
As an event planner I always focus on what could’ve gone better at an event. But on our wedding day, even though it rained nearly all day, we had to change the ceremony location last minute, we forgot the marriage license, the boys barely got their bow ties tied in time and I forgot to wear my veil down the aisle, it was all perfect and I wouldn’t change a thing. 🖤🤍 #finallyfoshag

What a special, sacred time! The bridal party processed to All Creatures of Our God and King, and then my dad walked me down the Aisle to All I Ask of You from Phantom of the Opera. I remember locking eyes on Kevin and time standing still. I slowed my dad down on the walk because I wanted to remember it.
Kevin’s great friend, Shawn, married us, which was so special because Shawn and his wife, Tonya, did our premarital counseling. The ceremony was short (it was 95 degrees so this was a good thing) and sweet! We selected the readings 1 Corinthians 13:4-6 and Matthew 6:25-34 to be read, then we exchanged vows, blessed and exchanged rings, and we were married!!!! So so so surreal!!
We recessed out to Hallelujah I Love Her So by Ray Charles and then it was time to partyyyyyy!

Wedding recap ✨ first looks and portraits
I started with my first look with my bridesmaids. I wasn’t sure if this moment would be super cheesy, but it was honestly so special and tender. First of many happy tears of the day. I felt so grateful especially in this moment for these girls who were there to support our marriage — they made me feel so loved on this day and I still don’t know how I picked such sweet friends.
Next I did my first look with my dad, which was very emotional and special. He was pretty emotional all day, unexpectedly, so the gift I got him worked out really well. I gave him a handkerchief with my handwriting embroidered on it (WeddingTokens).
Finally was what I’d been waiting for: my first look with Kevin. Truly such an unforgettable moment, there’s truly nothing like it. I’m so glad we did a first look and got to spend the rest of our day together. We cried and hugged, and then read our vows to each other (more crying). I replay this in my head all of the time now, and I reread our vows all the time. I highly recommend doing these before the ceremony and keeping them more private and personal. We then exchanged wedding gifts — he got me a gold and diamond cross necklace, and I got him an Orient watch and cufflinks with our wedding monogram.
We also took some portraits before the wedding party and our family joined us for all of the group photos. Our photographer, Allie, did such a great job of keeping us on schedule and leading all of this. It flew by, yet we have hundreds, if not thousands, of photos l cherish.
