Finding the perfect suit fit has never been easier, now with unique sewn-in tailor’s tape on home try-ons. With our home try-on program, you can determine your ideal suit length right in the comfort of your own home. Here’s how to get started:
Step 1: Your dress code=delivered.
Once your home try-on suit arrives, try it on with a collared shirt and the dress shoes you plan to wear with the suit. This ensures an accurate measurement tailored to your personal style and fit preference!
Step 2: Measuring the Suit Jacket
With a collared shirt on, try on the jacket and reference the tailor's tape on the sleeve and side. Our jacket tailor’s tape features four letter options:
-
S for Short
-
R for Regular
-
T for Tall
-
XT for Extra Tall
To determine your jacket length:
-
Look at the tailor’s tape sewn into the sleeve.
-
Identify the letter that aligns approximately 1 1/4 inches above your shirt cuff.
For example, if the “R” aligns with this spot, your ideal suit jacket length is Regular.
Step 3: Check the Length of the Jacket
For the best fit, the side length of your jacket should fall just past the middle of your bum. Use the tailor’s tape on the side seam to confirm your measurement and ensure the proper length.
Step 4: Measuring Suit Pants
When you try on suit pants, use the sewn-in tape to determine your hem length. This measurement reflects how the pants will arrive. The ideal length is subjective but often hits the middle back of your shoe. To test your preferred length:
-
Fold the pant leg to your desired length.
-
Check the fit with your dress shoes on.
Step 5: Final Fit Check
After noting your jacket length and pant length, confirm the fit of the waist and chest. If everything feels right, you’re ready to order your made-to-order suit!
