Brittany X Revelry!
It feels so surreal to look back on my wedding day pictures. What they say is true, it goes by so very fast, but I am grateful that I soaked in every moment.
I knew going into my wedding, I wanted it to feel timeless and filled with special details throughout the venue. We got married outside of a historic mansion on the coldest day of the year–go figure, but it really was the most special day.
To bring in that classic and timeless feel, I knew that I wanted my bridesmaids to wear black and luckily, they were very aligned. My husband and I decided to have a very small wedding party–his two brothers stood by his side while my sister and my best friend (who could very well be my sister as well) stood by mine. At the end of the day, you could have two or twelve people standing by you, you should always do what works best for you and your partner.
When searching for bridesmaid dresses, I immediately felt drawn to Revelry. I remember receiving my swatches in the mail for the first time and could not believe this was happening. My best friend and I made an entire day out of this–we looked through the swatches and then had a full on fashion show where she tried on different styles for me. This definitely became a core memory and something we’ve dreamed of for so long.
We both fell in love with the satin dresses Revelry makes and while it was SO hard to choose one, Billie became the winner. My wedding dress had really beautiful buttons running up the sleeve and down my back, so it felt really special that the Billie dress had similar buttons as well–it was almost like a piece of me was with them and a piece of them was with me (cheesy, but cute).
Seeing my bridesmaids in their dresses was truly a moment I will never forget. I love them both so much and feel really lucky to have them in my life. And to my future brides, I highly recommend having a fashion-show-try-on-party with your best friends… bring cake.
