The dress is perfect. I was a little nervous with the measurement and the size chart so I went with a 4 and probably could have gotten a 2. Since velvet I didnt want to risk being small since I know you cant take velvet out but you can take it in. I also wish I gotten the shorter length but again was nervous since this was the first time ordering a bridesmaid dress.

The material is EXTREMELy stretchy and heavy, this makes for a comfortable fit but even with correct MEASUREMENTS the HEAVINESS of the dress pulled the side without a strap of the dress down. It is double lined and UNFORTUNATELY also has the design on that side..all which cause alterations to be quite expensive (1/2 the price of the dress itself)..REGARDLESS this had to be done to avoid a chance of a slip during my best friends wedding. wish they would consider the fabric type when making a dress based on MEASUREMENTS or iclude an adhesive liner on the chest to prevent it sliding down FROM the WEIGHT of the velvet..Def recommend sizing down

The dress arrived quicker than expected, material is quality!! Be advised that you may have to still alter dress. Despite all the measurements and ordering a petite the dress is long. My daughter is 51
