As many of you brides know, picking out your color combination to your big day is a HUGE commitment. Some brides dream of boho blues or a mix and match of blush tones, but others want to go a completely different route. While we are very color happy at Revelry, we still love seeing brides incorporate our bridesmaid dresses to create a timeless elegant look, which is why we’re featuring our black velvet this week!

Janelle & Jaden celebrated their wedding in early February of this year, in Washington, which ensured the perfect weather for their velvet wedding! They married at Saint Patrick Catholic Parish and celebrated their reception at the historic Boyer House.

Janelle knew she wanted her maids to wear velvet, but was seeking deeper tones. Her fiance didn’t want to wear a blue suit so she immediately ruled out any blue tones. After her Home Try-On with her girls, she ultimately asked which color they like and would feel more comfortable with - and they said black!

Janelle’s bridesmaids were both in school at the time she was wedding planning, so everyone’s schedule was busy. She decided to order a Home Try-On dress for herself when considering Reverly. She quickly decided to throw a second try-on party for her maids when they were home for the holidays! “My bridesmaids and I all live in different cities/states. They’re both in grad school, and strapped for time, so my goal was to make this process as easy as possible for them!” - Janelle

Their ceremony was surrounded by luscious greenery, twinkle lights, and the best company.
